Hey. So i looked up some reviews about Aw17 R5 with i9 and most of them were just complaining about it's thermal issues. Tho iam buying a separate keyboard and a mouse for gaming and ignoring the heat, so will it affect the game or system (not working/ Hanging time by time) Or the laptop will just work fine?

Ignoring the heat will cause it to die.

Also it greatly depends on the settings and setup. Are we talking about the I9 + GTX 1070 or GTX 1080?
Repaste and some CPU tweaking does make it run decent unter gaming.

Don't give Dell money for a poor design like that, they have neglected fixing the thermal issues for years. Look for something which can cool its self better than that, or buy from someone who will repaste it for you like HIDEvolution.

You should a) read through the owners thread b) post this on the owners thread

    Thermal issues are totally addressable.

Sadly, most of the laptops being sold with 8th gen Intel chips and 1070 or 1080 graphics cards have some degree of thermal issues in stock form. I have the i7 and 1080 and with a repaste I'm able to have good temps with my 17 without throttling of the CPU or GPU, better than the other laptops I tried before the 17. Read through the owners thread and the repasting thread for the 17r4 as much of it applies. Its poor form for Dell to ship it in the state they do but it's totally fixable and few oems are better .
