    Hello guys, I'm getting code 10 error on TPM 2.0 on device manager, driver conflict or device failure, tried everything from flashing bios to reinstalling OS, even tried using different Disk, also swapped my motherboard, DELL service center installed OS again, yet TPM 2.0 is not working, escalated to the product engineering team, might take 2-3 weeks before they give me some solution, DELL HQ Product Support team is surprised seeing me giving them another issue which is hard to solve, anyone here knows where is TPM chip located on 15 R2 motherboard ?? or how to solve this issue, this only happened after updating to BIOS 1.3.10.. not sure what caused it.. but that doesn't make any sense, even the refurb motherboard which I'm using now having same issue..

    Is it fixed after inserting CMOS battery? Have youenabled LoJack security system that comes with AW?

    im yet to recieve the battery and test it out.. Lojack is activated.. and it doesnt do anything..

    Seems Like i need to leave the battery on motherboard, and wait for 24hours circle, tomorrow im gonna get my battery back, lets see if this works out.. and also thanks for @sirleeofroy who sent me LM.. i wanted to make a thread before and after and appreciate his help.. but sadly, i joined a company where i hardly get time, and also the they swapped the motherboard.. about the topic, this is the only thing on dell side which talks about TPM.. hope this works. lets see..

    Hello. @Vasudev suggested I ask you about your TPM issue. My nearly new AW 13R3 experienced an event where the machine would not boot. Investigating the BIOS settings revealed that somehow the machine had set itself to non-UEFI (legacy BIOS?) with secure boot disabled. I fixed those two settings, and the machine now boots, but Windows Device Manager now hides the TPM device, and its properties state the the "device is not connected". The Windows TPM management console plug-in also states that there is no TPM device available. No settings in the machine's BIOS setup are available to try to communicate with or enable the TPM.

    I believe the lack of a TPM device in Windows is what is preventing Windows Hello facial recognition from working or being able to be successfully set up again.

    Alienware/Dell support has been less than helpful (very friendly - just not effective) on this issue, insisting on trying to troubleshoot Windows Hello rather than paying attention to my repeated attempts to direct them to the missing/unavailable TPM device, which I tried unsuccessfully to convince them was required for Windows Hello biometrics (fingerprints/facial recognition) to work.

    I have tried disconnecting the CMOS battery to effect a reset, but so far neither that nor anything else I've tried has made any difference at all, nor did Dell support's uninstalling/reinstalling camera drivers and updating/rolling back BIOS versions.

    So I'm wondering if you ever got a resolution to your TPM issue. Thanks for any comments or suggestions you can share on this issue.

    for me i fixed the Code 10 error of TPM 2.0 by reflashing, and doing this simple trick, boot windows with secure boot disabled, make sure ur TPM option is enabled on bios, now you wont see any TPM on device manager, reboot, restore factory bios settings, that should revert back the secure boot function ON, then boot to windows and see if ur TPM device is enabled and working proper.. and if anyone ever encounterd Memory Mangement Errors, or Fault Page when loading windows 10 bootable disk try to disable TPM first.. let me know how it goes..

    I don't have a code 10 error. In device manager, under hidden devices, my TPM device shows as error 45 "Device is not connected".

    This evening, I tried booting with secure boot disabled.

    I only have a single TPM-related item in my entire BIOS settings: "Firmware TPM" on the Security page, which can supposedly be "Enabled" or "Disabled". However, it is only changeable if both UEFI and Secure Boot are enabled first. But even then, changing it to "Enabled" and saving only results in it becoming "Disabled" the next time you go into the BIOS settings. It doesn't appear to stay enabled after you exit the BIOS setup.

    Also, based on what I've read, this setting isn't the actual TPM chip itself - a "Firmware BIOS" is apparently a bit of code implemented in firmware which duplicates the basic operations of an actual TPM chip. I suspect the reason it won't stay enabled on my machine is that enabling it is incompatible with the physical presence of an actual TPM chip on the motherboard. My BIOS does not contain any other TPM-related settings of any kind besides this one single setting.

    In any case, booting with secure boot disabled works on my machine, but still TPM device remains at error 45. Going back and re-enabling secure boot also works, but the TPM device still remains then at error 45. In no case is the single BIOS setting "Firmware TPM" actually surviving a reboot and staying at the "Enabled" state. It always reverts to "Disabled".

    I have flashed backwards and forwards between several older and newer versions of this machine's BIOS, but everything I have stated above remains true. I have also done a CMOS battery pull, with the same results.

    im not sure about code 45, had few other error codes before, can you try using different ram or HDD.. one of my friend had issues with his dell xps, that was fixed using a BIOS update, i think there is something wrong with the code implemented.. did u contact DELL ? because even on my code 10 error they tried swapping to a whole new motherboard, and the problem dint go off, so i suspected 2 things on my case, which is RAM, and storage drive.. may be it leaves behind some kinda thing on ram or hdd.. im not sure 100%.. just my thoughts..
