    Stripped GPU heatsink screw

    Hi guys i was trying to do a repaste on my alienware 17R4 however the last two screws i need to remove where so stuck they got stripped i was using a PH01 screwdriver. you guys have any tips on how to remove them and replace them? tried pentelope and flathead.

    Oh yikes, I always use either PH00 or PH0 at biggest. So just keep that in mind for future reference. I've seen people use tiny drillbits and such to extract a screw, but never personally done such a procedure. Maybe someone else can chime in.

    I have a micro grab-it that I have used on very small screws. About 3mm heads and it worked for me.

    Try making a slot across by using a dremel. That way you can use a flat head screw driver to take it out. Always works for me. Good luck!

    Put a thin rubberband between the screw and screwdriver is often possible too, to make some grip.
