    Hello again NBR,

Recently I've been hearing a weird whining sound and today I flipped my laptop over ( 13 r2) and the right fan was twitching, almost like it didn't have enough voltage or it was stuck. As I am Heaven Benchmark, the fan got out of that state and spun normally.

My temps in Heaven Benchmark temps got to 80 deg C before this started happening at the end of the benchmark and now the temps are getting to 80 deg C 30 seconds into the benchmark.

I'm worried that the fan won't be spinning when it should be and cause damage to the CPU & GPU.

Will blow into the vents to see if that changes anything.. doubt it though as I do that every day.

I'll post a video of the fan and the noise later when I hear it again.

Anyone else have any suggestions on what to do before calling AW?

And yes, I spelled noise wrong.

Sounds like the fan could faulty, do you still have warranty? If so, get it fixed by them or if you have no warranty then sourcing a replacement should be fairly easy. Then it's just opening the machine up and replacing the part!

Wow, sorry for abandoning this thread. I am under warranty for another 10 months so I will call and ask them to send a fan or 2 to my home. I want to open it up anyways like I did with my m11x and see how everything is.

I haven't been hearing the noise recently but just to be safe I'll have them send me a fan or 2 in case. Thanks!

They won't just send you a fan. I went through this whole process and was first put under the impression that i could just get a fan sent to my house and i'd install it myself on my own time.

I was then informed that i couldn't have a fan sent out without a tech..but i could kindly ask the tech if i could do the install myself...I still haven't got a fan because i dont want to deal with that, but your situation sounds worse than mine.

If you do end up getting one sent to your house with no tech please let me know how! haha.
