    Im looking for a aw13 base model (1000)
    And i have a few questions

    1.-how long is the battery life? (with normal task like web, some light programs)

    2.- is too big/heavy?

    3.- im from mexico and i will buying it on usa, did they sell on bestbuy or some other store like that?

    1. I get 7 hours usually, maybe 5, doing Office, web browsing, and video watching (all at once). And this is with the 1440p panel, so it should be more with the 768p panel.

    I did see where Frys { www.frys.com) carries them. I recall someone on here buying an AW 15 from a store as well.

    Are you sure you want the standard screen? I have been reading a lot the last few days about the screens and the 768 screen is "TERRIBLE". 1. Its TN 2. Its not bright 3. Its low color. I understand that money is money and if thats all you can afford, I get that... but in all honesty there are other great gaming laptops with at least 1080p screens that arent as bad for less (Lenovo Y40 comes to mind - not a great screen, but for the money, better than what you get on the aw13).

    It's not terrible to be honest, but adding a high quality screen would definitely improve the looks of the machine. I've always recommended to get the highest quality screen unless you plan to use an external screen.
