Hi Guys,
I recently scored a pretty sweet deal on an AW Skylake system with the following spec. The system will arrive early next week, and since I bought this as an impulse purchase and didn't do any prior research, I was wondering if there are any issues (throttling, etc) I should be on the lookout for. If there are any dealbreakers, I'd just not open the system and return it for a full refund.
Thank you and happy new year to all!

Dang dude, I'm not sure if anything is wrong with it, but thats an absurd price on that system. Really good deal.

Edit: Oh I see that's a Dell outlet laptop. Makes sense now. Are you sure it is unused/not refurbished?Last edited: Jan 2, 2016 -
Yes it is an outlet refurbished. I noticed it says 4GB 980m GTX. Don't the Skylake AW only come with the 8GB?

Nice deal on that. $1200 for a laptop typically gets you in the 960M ballpark of GPU. Getting a 980M for that is great.

Noone mentioned yet. The system features soldered gpu and cpu. This means no swapping in faster/newer parts in the future.
Deal breaker for some

Congrats on the awesome deal! Very happy for you mate.
I see that it comes with only a 1TB spinner eh? That's exactly how I would want to order it since I have my own SSD's to put in the laptop.
How is everything working out for you? Laptop running well? Any issues? -
