I just noticed when lookingthe side view of my 13R3 the screen bezel does not sit flush with the keyboard deck. The middle part of the screen lid on each side bows out away from the side of the keyboard about 2-3mm. Is this the design (maybe to offset the upward torque when opening the screen? Or poor build quality?

Is this something I can trust Dell on site repair to fix without messing it up?

Would Dell send me the parts (I'm fairly comfortable turning screws)?

Or would they just replace the whole laptop?

Anyone with experience with Dell repairing physical build issues care to weigh in on this?

This looks like physical force issue, and that is rarely under warranty...

Well I've had the laptop for less than 30 days. So I believe I can still return it. But I'm trying to avoid that since Dell is super slow to refund.

a slight bow is something i came across more often (with multiple laptops) but 3mm is a bit much though.

I just measured it and it is a 2mm gap on both sides....if that changes anyone's opinion.

Return it and wait for refund. In case they refuse to repair it under warranty, you need to pay extra from your pocket. Might as well return it and order new PC/laptop.

    maybe a new 15 " curved display prototype ?
hahaha sorry, but if the display is OK, only by replacing the front bezel will do the job :)
