This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    The request is not supported.

This is what I see in Device Manger with an ! next to it, when I try to use an SDHC card, after installing a 2 TB SSD and playing with an Alienware Graphics Amp

I have to run to work now and have not had a chance to disable my ssd drive, but has anyone seen this? it doesnt matter what card I put into the SDHC slot, i Hear a chime as if a new device was plugged in, and then it gives me an error... any advice?

Tried drivers and reflashing bios. This issue happened in both my windows installs.

just in case others have this issue:

I called Dell, and we went through some steps including reflashing the bios, reinstalling the realtek drivers. When this didn't work or solve the problem they recommended a replacement of daughterboard + motherboard..! not ideal for a 1 week machine and i'm not in the usa at the moment..

I was getting ready to live without an SDXC card reader, but then i figured lets reinstall windows on one of the drives and see if the card reader starts behaving.

Sure enough after a full clean install of windows the SDHC card reader is up and running again, and no replacement will be necessary.

For anyone who experiences this (it happened out of nowhere) and no reinstalling of intel chipset drivers, realtek drivers, and bios flashes work, the only way i got it going again was with a new windows install.
