    Hi,

New to this forum, I wonder, does anyone of you know the right process to reinstall windows 8.1 on an Alienware R2 17 early 2015. The system is acting really slow lately and is causing some of the blue screens I am experiencing. So I am wondering what will be the right order to reinstall the drivers and where to get all the drivers, no all the drivers you need are listed on the dell website, I can't find the right procedure for the system, I will be really appreciated any help.

    Thank you

    Better install Win10 mate.

All the drivers except video drivers are on the dell site. Video drivers need to be downloaded from nvidia website. That's all, it's not hard.

    1.Install the system
    2.Install drivers
    3.Done

There's no order, just install them all in any order you like. If you want to be 100% safe you can install chipset drivers first if there are any listed on dell website. Then the sound drivers, usb etc. Last ones are Alienware apps used to control lights etc.

As for the video drivers just go here - http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Select your GPU, system and download the drivers. GPU drivers are most important and complicated, you should update them regularly when you want to play a game that Game Ready driver was announced for. That's all :)

Also, if you're confused about install order, just goto Dell website, type your service tag, drivers and downloads. Select Find it myself option then click Installation order and you're good to go. Just follow @GodlikeRU said.
If you've firmware updates to apply use these steps before:
    1. Install Intel Chipset driver and reboot [as @GodlikeRU said]
    2. Install IRST and MEI drivers
    3. Install all network adapter drivers
    4. Install Intel GFX and after rebooting install NVidia [as @GodlikeRU said]
    5. Optimise your Windows Installation for max performance by following @Phoenix guide, linked above by @0lok
    6. Now close all your apps and temporarily disable AV to apply BIOS or firmware updates.
