You should call dell and tell them... not sure why that's a question that needs to be asked.

Did you order from the Dell website or phone?

What were your exact specs? (To be able to compare with others who have also fell victim to Dells mistake.)

Have you called Dell yet? If so, what happened?

This is a common problem....shame on Dell. Sorry for you mate....but I'm sure it'll all turn out ok.

Wow....same as mine and the same crap happen to me. Have you called them yet? Please report back on how they handle it. Very curious...

From what I've gathered, these are assembled in Texas, Tennessee and Mexico. Some may come assembled from China.

One more thing...where was it shipped from? Which state or country from the three locations listed above?

I'm trying to narrow this down...

How about that haha....well, I would. Ask to speak to a supervisor, bring your receipt and laptop.....give it to them....

It's so cheap what they are doing to people....or maybe they are just lacking competent people who are working both ends of the assembly line.

Well the warehouse is not dell themselves its a third party company that works for dell. To band they will not be able to do anything if I did that.

Just for clarification sakes, you might want to download another program and make sure it is only 4gb. CPUid says I have a Core I5 processor when I have the 6700hq skylake.

I received my 15 R2 and was expecting 4gb and was excited to see 8gb in GPU-Z.. as I paid for the 4gb version.
