hi, I am the happy user of a 13 R3 Oled, who just ordered a 17 R4, 7820K + 1080 for my work as a creative professional (video editing 5K+ And post Production). Alienware touts 4.4ghz. But I am betting this is single core.

So what should one expect for real world over clocking potential without repasting and tweaking beyond Alienware's bios and XTU with all cores loaded (a common occurrence in my workflow) ?

What's the potential for max daily driver with repasting and tweaking? @iunlock are you running 4.4 ghz on all 4?

Yes it can run 44x on all four cores without any issues.

When I encode I run it at 47x stable.

Not all silicons are created equal, but you should be able to drive 44x pretty easily.

Thanks for the fast reply! One newb question, will the CPU still dynamic clock itself down when the speed is not needed?

Yes, for the i7 7820HK I believe the stock clock is 2.9GHz

I almost forget at times it's that low haha... 4.4GHz is the only thing I think of when it comes to the 7820HK. :p

Anything less just seems odd now, like just one of them things you're not used to ...

iunlock your guide should fix this correct? or would you like me to provide you more info as soon as i get it in my hands?
