Has anyone else gotten a Blue Screen of Death on Nvidia Driver 378.49? I was watching some Netflix on Chrome while my laptop was hooked up to my girlfriends HDTV via HDMI and randomly 1 hour into the movie the screen turns black and I get a BSOD with the stop code: "memory_management" ? This happened 2 times with 2 different movies on her TV so far, I've never had this happen before.

So I looked up info online about it, some websites said it could be faulty RAM which can't be the case for me since my laptop is only 1 year old. So I went down the list and someone suggested it could be a faulty Nvidia driver. I remembered I did recently update my Nvidia driver a few days before this occurred so I uninstalled it and downgraded my driver to the previous version, 376.33 , and so far that seems to have eliminated the problem.

I have an Alienware 17 R3 with a 980m, I just want to find out if this has affected anyone else out there or if anyone has any input on this. Thanks.

If 376.33 has the same problem, I advise you to stick with 375.90 hotfix drivers since its the most stable driver I've seen. You can google stable driver nvidia "model number" and find some post in reddit, NBR etc.

So far 376.33 hasn't given me any problems so far ever since I downgraded, been using it for a few days now on my HDTV again and haven't gotten a BSOD ever since, but thanks for the heads up, should I ever encounter a BSOD on this current driver I'll revert to the one you suggested.
