I have a 500gb spinning drive that came with my 13 r2 which has Windows 10 on it. I also have a Samsung 500gb SSD EVO which has Windows 7 on it.

I'd like to transfer everything including Windows 10 off of the spinning drive and onto the Samsung drive.

How would I go about this?

Use macrium reflect or similar software to clone the drive to the SSD.

You could also use Ease US or Norton Ghost.

I second using Samsung's software. I've used that on several machines with great luck - as long as you have a second bay or UASP compliant dock / 2.5" USB 3 to SATA cable adapter.

It's normally best to just do a clean install. Either way, always do a full backup before doing anything.
