Anyone having issues with this driver installation file?

I reformatted my AW15 and whenever I attempt to install this driver, in the end, it gives me BSOD. I am assuming that this is the problem that gives me bluetooth peripheral device in the device manager lists as not installed.

Perhaps you could tell us how you fixed it? I plan to reinstall and would like to be aware of any issues ahead of time :)

Did you redownload? Or did you install it manually with the device manager?

The driver doesn't seem to work with the computer in any way. I downloaded the driver from the Dell site and also from killer website, both gave BSOD. I contacted the Alienware tech support and they are clueless.
After searching a little, I found that apparently they also work with the Microsoft Corp drivers and I gave it a try. The bluetooth is now working properly.

There are two drivers on the dell website that have similar names.

The Killer Wireless 1525 driver is for Windows 64bit. <- Install this one.
The Killer Wireless Bluetooth 1525 driver is for Windows 32bit. <- Don't install this one.

Or at least that's how I understood it.

Open task manager and go to startup, then disable Killer Network Manager. It might be called Installshield with the publisher being Flexrera Software LLC.

I know this so much. It drives me insane...I have one in my laptop now and every time I reboot or shut it down and start it back up it refuses to detect any networks. I have to reinstall the driver from windows then it'll detect the connections.

When I had a Network Killer 1202 in my Alienware, everytime I would reboot, it would take about 30 secs to 1 minute for it to reconnect to my ASUS RT-AC68U router for some reason. Additionally, I would get random BSODs in the middle of my work making me lost a lot and tear my head apart. I was told that I need to uninstall the Network Killer Manager and only install the driver manually from Device Manager, while that did solve the BSOD issue, then I asked myself, so what's so great about this card then? it is an older N technology with a max of 300 MBPS and a lot of bugs so I upgraded to the Intel AC7260 (Revised Edition not the original crappy one) and have never been happier.

Now I know the 1525 connects to AC networks, but it's the same stories I see over and over with BSODs, disconnections, etc......bad drivers......it's great hardware otherwise....... That made me not trust Qualcomm for anything in the future.

    just my 2 cents worth

I Have had this issue on my alienware m14x and my alienware 15. When I would start my torrents I'd get a BSOD, This is caused by the too many connections in a torrent p2p file transfer.

    You can do 2 things
    1. lower the amount of connection in your p2p client.

    2. (what I did), I only installed the wireless driver, WITHOUT the killer network manager, I mean that program that starts in your tray with the gray K icon. And the issue never happened again. Only downside I cannot give apps a network priority anymore. Was useful to give torrents low priority so I can perfectly watch youtube videos in HD while torrenting, which isn't possible anymore

    Sure you can.

Don't you have a router? Pretty much every router that I've seen has the capability to do QoS. Just set torrents to a lower priority on that and it'll affect all your computers.

I work at Rivet Networks (company behind Killer Networking products). We have run several tests trying to replicate the behavior above with the torrents creating a BSOD. We are using the latest driver and can't replicate it. Are you seeing this with the latest driver suite on our site (link below)? If you are, could you please reach out to us and we will see what the problem is (second link below)? We are constantly doing crazy things to make sure our products work in every situation. We encourage you to report any issues you are seeing. Thanks!

Yes. Enable application control to be sure,
On your torrent client, change the settings so you have 300 connections per torrent and 500 total connections. (FYI, I'm using uTorrent)
Use it on torrents with MANY seeders like above 500 at least, and add like 3 of these torrents running all 3 at the same time.

And you should have a BSOD very soon. At least in my case it happens every time, since I often use torrents with lots of peers.
So I simple deleted the network manager, and just using the drivers.

We set that up and couldn't replicate it in the first 4 hours. Would you please contact us directly at [email protected] so we can ask you a few questions and make sure we have a solution? Can you please reference we had a conversation on this forum? Thank you very much for your time.
