    Hello!

Im have the alienware 2015, nvidia 970 16gb ram, etc.

After using the pc for an an hour or two the sound star to cracking and distorted (not all the time), and is the process are really slow, even the pointer is slow.

This is what im already try

Upgrade all my drivers from a clean installation.
    Reinstal windows 10
    Reset to factory settings
    Use Anti Spyware
Disable all overclock options in setup.
    Update BIOS
Full system check from dell online (all ok).
Disable all enhancements in sound tab
Try with 16bit 44100 (CD quality)
Check temperature after and during stress test (max temp 81)
Check if some program or service is consuming to much resources in the task manager.
Use the app called 'throttlestop' the lagginess was fixed but the sound problem continues.
With headphones does the same distortion and crackling sound.

    Please please help me.

maybe is is a clicking sound and it comes from the Fan .... make sure where is the sound coming.... if is your fan you need to chat with Dell support or call them to change both fans.
in my case i have an issue like you and was my left fan. They changed both. (my problem was solved with the replacement)
i took a video, check if the sound is similar

What kind of hard drive do you have? If it's a mechanical drive, it could be a problem with that.

Run HWInfo and see whether you're getting CPU throttling? Make sure it is running at full speed when you open an app, etc... Check the temperature reading that HWInfo shows and post it up here.

The sound may or may not be related to the other issues - unless über throttling slows the system down so much that interfers with audio playback?

So it only starts distorting after an hour or two or usage? When you first start the laptop it is fine right? That's an easy one, HEAT.

The lag is from your CPU throttling from heat. You need to have it on a hard surface when you play, not your lap. I notice in your videos you seem to have it on your lap doing a lot of things.

    Let us know.

The heats sensors report optimal temperatures during the crackling sound, but im going to do an stress test.

I reckon you're on the right track with this, but maybe not CPU throttling. It could simply be a faulty component related to the soundcard, caps maybe. I know with a few audio interfaces I've had over the years, when the caps start to degrade, they pop, crackle and generally sound pretty rough.

There is also the possibility that there is a minuscule amount of expansion due to heat and there could be a dodgy earth somewhere. Thats a wild guess though!

first check if some program or service is consumming to muck resourses in the task manager. (hard drive resource) second: check if the refresh rate in your monitor is set as 60hz and not 48 hz.

    hello

    http://postimg.org/image/j6gej9t09/

As you can see, there is not high demand on the hard drive resource.

And the refresh is set at 60hz.

After stress test, all the temp values are ok.

Your temperatures look fine - try running the app called 'throttlestop' and make sure the boxes in the top left hand side say:
    Clock modulation: 100% (ticked)
    Chipset clock mod 100% (ticked)
Set Multiplier at the higest vaue it will go to (also ticked)
(Also, make sure that you click 'Turn On' in the bottom right hand corner.

Now try opening apps and doing general things - is the 'laggines' any better?

As for the sound issue - does it also happen when listening through headphones?

You have CPU throttling - although not due to heat so far as I can see. I have a Dell and the same thing happens. Run Throttlestop when you start up your computer (add to taskbar is fastest) and set it to minimise when closed - it's not perfect but it will get you back full CPU power (Before you had minimal CPU power - hence the lagginess).

I think the sound is unrelated to the CPU power issue.

Did you try listening to sound with headphones plugged into the system? Does it do the same thing?

It's kinda beyond my area of knowledge but I'll throw out some suggestions.

    Go to:
    control panel
    hardware and sound
    sound
right click the sound device that has a 'tick' next to it
    click properties
    click the enhancements tab
    disable all enhancements
    click the advanced tab
    select 16bit 44100 (CD quality)

Hopefully someone else can spare some time who knows more about notebook audio but this might work.
