    Hello guys,

So, I'm in a weird spot with CS and my AW 13 order. I ordered it on the 7th of April and the delivery date WAS set to the 18th of April. I chatted in yesterday to see the progress and the support said that my order was shipped out to the carrier on the 14th (yesterday). I look at the order status today and it has been pushed back to the 25th... I have all the chat logs to show that it was shipped out.

I chatted in today and am told there has been a delay on a part.. rescheduling the shipping date to the 18th (original delivery date).

This is my second Alienware purchase and am very dis-satisfied as I needed the machine by next week.

I read stories online that show people waiting months to get a system and I hoped and still do that I do not become one of those..

What do I do? The dude gave me next business day delivery but that still doesn't make up for the fact someone relayed the wrong info to me.

Don't listen to the haters. Be patient and keep up with your communications to Dell. You will be rewarded with an excellent ownership experience like none other. I sold my Alienware laptops (3) just recently and purchased an Origin laptop EON-17X. It is a fabulous machine that is fully loaded yet I am sill considering purchasing the Alienware 13 for my mobile gaming needs. Even though I still have my Alienware desktop I still want to sport an AW laptop as I love the fashion statement I makes as crazy as that sounds :)

Thanks for letting us know about the situation. Estimated delivery dates are subject to change due to many reasons.

    - Parts Availability
    - Shipping Delays
    - Incorrect part numbers

Those are only some of the main examples why they may get delayed. However, not many of them are pushed back months. Most of the stories online are about the worst experiences while the good experiences are rarely shared. Our Customer Support reps will offer you what they can do based on their possibilities, and if you keep a good communication with your sales rep I'm sure that he/she will help you out to get the machine as soon as possible.

While you may have the chance to do what the first two comments say, I believe that any company may have delays on their orders, specially when they are customized gaming rigs that require additional premium hardware to be built. You can't rush that if you want to do it right.

This said, if the ETA isn't met let us know by emailing [email protected], they'll give you as many details as possible, and if needed, they'll escalate the order to try to expedite it. This doesn't mean that it will be expedited for sure, this is because the delay may be cause by something that cannot be expedited.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll get the machine in a timely manner and you won't regret the purchase once you do. If you need more details about the order, don't hesitate to send your info there.

No hater here. I've owned 16 Alienware laptops over the past 12 years. But my time with them is done. They have gone in a direction that doesn't meet my high end gaming needs.. Among other reasons I won't post in this thread.

Thank you for not jumping on the band wagon. I never understood why people that start to dislike a company or a product spend so much time posting on that said product's community pages.
Its best to find a new product you like and spend all of your time contributing to that community on positive notes. :)
