Noticed Dell UK pulled all UHD options from the R4 with the 1070/1080 GTX. Been that way for a while now, although these configs are still on the US Dell site.

I asked in Dell UK chat why the UHD is not available for the higher end cards.

*The guy said "we do the Testing of the machine and it was not offered with it due to compatibility issues".

I asked what the issues were, and that Dell US site are still offering these configs.

*He said "there was overheating issues raised by the customers, which is currently being tested at the Manufacturing centre".

I asked if this was due to the UHD.

*He said "there was this combination of 6820HK Processor with the UHD Screen and 1080 card which had complaints from customers that its getting over heated, Hence with the release of new processor 7820HK we are testing the UHD screen with it"

    Has anyone else heard this?

Surely the problem would be because of warped heatsinks that didn't make proper contact with CPU die. Yes, overheating issues seems to be fixed with Kabylake models. Surely it will take some time though.

What does screen have to do with overheating? Can't he just say that he doesn't know or is it easier to just spew this insane nonsense.
