Does anyone know if the Oculus will work with an AGA? I assume someone here may have a test version and tried it. I asked on Reddits /oculus but got no reply.

I found a report from one guy saying that it works with his 17 R3, but that is all.

Some say the DK works directly hooked up to a laptop, so I dunno if anything was changed in CV. I also owned a DK2 for a short period of time when I had my precision m6700 and it worked directly connected to laptop just fine. But I can't imagine that the rift NOT work with the AGA unless dell screws something up.

Thank you. Looking into preordering an Oculus but was really not looking forward to having to buy a Desktop also.

I would still wait. See how the rift does against the vive. Although I'm leaning towards rift because of the SDK. People have said that working with vive sdk is a pain. Superior tech doesn't matter if you don't have a wider range of support. Plus the oculus touch controller things look more appealing than wands. But regardless, reviews first.

Yup that too. Definitely helps that people have had more time developing for oculus. Heck don't forget the gear vr is also somewhat in the same ecosystem.

I am leaning towards the Vive myself. But I will wait a few months to see whats up with both VR goggles. It really depends on the titles for me that are available for VR after launching. To be honest I just want to see VR support in high profile titles such as BF4 too.

Curious how well Optimus laptops will work with the retail goggles.

I read on AlienwareArena.com about a couple users with the DK2 and having no problems at all.
