1st congratulations on your purchase. The GTX 1060 is a mid range power GPU so I believe the chassis of your machine can hold that and cool it pretty well.

I personally prefer HWinfo64 for temperature monitoring. You will also need intel XTU in case you want to undervolt your CPU to minimize your temps as much as possible without compromising performance. It's a pretty straight forward procedure.

Congratulations! I'm glad you bought some extra warranty.

One thing I'd like to say: Avoid Furmark and Prime95. These programs are horrible representations of usage and stress the system beyond what it is meant to handle. And if you don't know what these programs are, good! Stay away from them. ;) Heaven Benchmark and 3DMark are suitable benchmarks to test system performance. I would also recommend downloading CPUID HWMonitor for monitoring temperatures during gaming or benchmarking. "Safe" temperatures are below 95C on the CPU, and below 80C on the GPU. Those aren't good, just safe. Good is about 10-15C less for each.

Good luck. I hope you don't have any issues with the machine as others do.
