so it was previously discussed that we wanted to know the ssd size for m.2 on the alienware 17.

I can confirm it is the 80mm size. But now I need to know what the screw size is. There was no screw with the drive and none in the chassis. Can anyone help and tell me where to find the size and where to buy?

Should be a 3mm M2 or M2.5 screw. Have not received my AW17R2 to confirm yet, but there should be a screw pre-installed in one of the offsets.

Yea. Nothing in the slots or nearby. And no way to get to store to try and search for one.

Kind of frustrated that Dell didn't include one and neither did transcend.

Wow talk about cost cutting lol. Have a ship date of 2/10, If you find the right size mounting screw let me know so I can order in advance.

I'm 99% sure it's M2.5, but I'll grab the lab keys to open one myself and post my findings. BRB!

    Edit 1:

    Just checked, it's a 2 x 3 mm screw.

Can anyone recommend any good all round M2 SSD's? That will fit the new AW17 2015.
I have ordered with a 500gb, so I guess i got the room for 3 more? Correct?

Lab keys? You reps can just waltz on in into the lab and verify stuff just like that?
    You are correct.
