I have just checked on my AW 17, and see nothing. Is there any settings to configure it?

    edit: I figured out. thanks
edit2: I think there is something new that help the system not post high latency and stop the sound lagging.

Guessing it only works for the 15 / 17 R2. I don't get full fan RPM control on my 13 with the latest version.
But the new update does give more information than before, which is good.

In HWinfo settings, safety tab, did you enable Low-level PCI Access, TPM Check and EC Support?

Don't you mean disable? I mean, you have to disable EC Support to adjust the fan curves.
Either way, that method doesn't work for me.

I did mean enable it. In old version, if I disable EC, I can controlled the FAN. In new version, it runs a bit different, disable EC will allow 3 state of fan control, but enabled it with other options above it, allow to multiple configure different FAN speed.

Nope, doesn't work. Won't let me configure the fan speed if EC Support is enabled.

Hwinfo is a great program, I've been using it for quite while, though I haven't upgraded it for a long time now. However It does cause programs to lock sometimes on my m17x R3, does anyone know if this new version works better for alienware?
