    best to get an external DAC as well, onboard audios are never good if what you want is absolute quality

    sound quality is totally personal prefereces at the end of the day, try it with the adapter and see whether its acceptable to you

    So there will be quality loss ? i want it to be as if i were going to plug it in my desktop which has a optical out. i do not want any kind of quality loss. what is DAC ? you you have any recommendations ?

    Get external sound card. There will be great difference in quality.
