    Looking to move from Alienware 18 to M15 R2.

    Main reason weight and size, yeah I know cpu socket is better the BGA and also crossfire and more expansion but size is a pain

    Performance wise am I losing that much going i7-4810MQ to i7-6820HK or M290X crossfire to 985GTX

    Also are the Nvidia gpu that much better that ATI ? Especially with the graphics amplifier

    Yes, the Nvidia GPU is that much better. 4810mq can't hold a light to the Skylake's.

    Current AMD cards cant hold a candle to the Nvidia cards. Their highest end card performs lower than the Nvidia Geforce 970M.

    If you need something easier to carry, then it's not a bad choice. The performance difference isn't that big. You should definitely check out our Youtube channel for gameplay videos on the AW15 R2.
