Just thought I'd post an update, since I see these questions in various places.

It seems the thermal issues and display issues are resolved. Updated BIOS to 1.0.9. No screen lines, beautiful display, has the updated model number that has been posted throughout the forums.

    Idle temps at 40-45 degrees.

Running OCCT @ full load for an hour. Everything stock, no OC. Temps mid to high 70s, max was 79 degrees, didn't hit the 80s. Also playing Heroes of the Storm on Ultra settings, max everything, max was mid 70s as well.

Did not repaste, did not undervolt, don't even have it propped up, it's sitting flat on a table. Ambient temp was 21 degrees. This is completely out of the box.

    Seems to be fixed!

Agreed. My unit that I received last week runs great! Can even overclock the CPU a bit without melting it.

Mine I got about a month ago and did repaste, Temps were ok before hand but I noticed in Benchmarks it worked fine but as soon as I put it in Battlefield 1 with everything maxed the CPU was peaking into 89-92C but avging in the High 70's low 80's. When the whole system is under load it seems to stress a bit.

I've noticed that. Benchmarks seem to stir up temperatures less than gaming does. As soon as I try to play Killing Floor 2 or Ghost Recon, that's when my temps creep up.

FOr me its complete reverse, benchmark causes my CPU temps to be between 70C to low 80s whereas in games 55-65C on CPU and max 72C on GPU. Dunno why?

Shared pipes between cpu and Gpu heatsink(unified HS design) means more heat must be removed if both hardware run maxed load. Only Cpu benching will have more cooling headroom because Gpu is almost idle and don't push heat out to the heatsink grills. Pure physics!!
