Does anyone know where or who I can go to for service in the Orlando area? I'm on my 3rd exchange and like 20th repair.

I'm in Miami if you come over I'll do it for you. On a weekend of course since this is not something I do as business.

Im still waiting to receive my new exchange if nobody is closer I guess I'd have to plan a day trip. I have to buy the liquid metal too. The 1080 and I9 make for a perfect oven.

I have plenty liquid metal left from my last repaste. I've done 3 or 4 so far.

Then it sounds like you'd be the best to do it since you've done it. I'm a noob just tired of the overheating and throttling. Once I get it I'll message you.

Would liquid metal fix all the heat issues? Bring max down to 70s?

Yes it would if your heatsink is balanced. Thermal paste can fix this too. Getting it to Max 70 will be tough, you'll have to put a few hours into it.

What he said... Plus I'll like to add that putting liquid metal without balancing the heatsink is the same as murder. Putting on liquid metal if there is no proper contact will cause the liquid metal to drip out and may cause damage to nearby electronics.

The 6 core to 70c would be difficult (when the GPU is also stressed).

BUt if you can get your temps around 80~85c you should be good. Those are normal temperatures.

Is 99 Celsius ok? What am I suppose to do? Why are people afraid to touch my machine?

To put it in perspective, the razer blade with a GTX 1080 overclocked to 1,900mhz ran heaven for an entire hour last night and stayed below 72°C the entire time. Stock it was 67-68°.

Soooo... The answer is no. 99°C is NOT OK. You are throttling big time.

What can I do? Dell will just keep using same stock paste, every repair shop refuses to do it. Am I really stuck with a paper weight? It's frustrating I thought ubreakifix would do it.

Is not really just a repaste. The pads must be swapped for thinner ones and the heatsink twisted a little to compensate for the weak tripod mount. The blade has a much better heatsink tripod. I wouldn't trust a random ubreakifix guy to fix it. I'm sure in a ubreakifix somewhere there is a guy who knows about the stuff and would step up to the plate, just not any random one. I would say though, if you have the courage to disassemble it I would say: take a shot at it. Do it with kryonaut which is pretty safe. Don't do liquid metal the first time.

If you need help just let me know

I'm not tech savvy and wouldn't trust myself. I'm willing to pay someone who's skilled to do it. Seems there is really no one in Orlando area unfortunately. A guy in New York said he would do it for 277 dollars. I don't trust the mail tho.

TBH it makes sense that a business charges that much for this. It does take a few hours to do properly.

    Maybe it's @pbhenry3 ?

He's a trusted professional repair shop that does component level repair for apple and razer laptops.

If there is anyone in the Midwest (I live in OK) that does it I'm looking to have it done as well along with thermal pads. Temps are decent but looking to get the most out of it and keep the noise down.
