    Mount a samsung ssd m2 pro 950 in my alienware 15 2015

    Hey guys, hope you're doing?!
    Well, i just bought the new samsung ssd pro 950 m2 for my alienware 15 2015. But the ssd doesnt fit to the ssd connector(socket) on my alienware mother board. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

    June purchase is going to be the r1. I can't see your picture but if there are FOUR sockets, then it confirms that you have the r1 and SATA, which cannot accept the 950 (PCIe), I'm sorry.

    FWIW, the SATA m.2 will fit into the (newer) PCIe sockets, but the PCIe (like your 950) will not fit into SATA.

    I am trying to upload the picture but i cant. I have only TWO sockets.
    according to what you said, do you think there is a kind of connector(adaptor) i can purchase to use between the ssd and the socket.

    The 15 R1 only has two visible M.2 slots. The other two are hidden by the chassis.
    I would just return the 950 Pro if you can. Even if you do get an adapter, you'll be limited to SATA III speeds. And even then, there's the possibility of not fitting in the laptop (going beyond the screw hole).
