Does anyone know how the lcd screen is attached to the lid? They no longer use screws. I dented the lid and want to see if just changing the lid is an option. I already called Alienware and they are of no help as usual.

The screens are held in place by thin strips of sticky rubber. If you remove the plastic bezel you'll see cloth like sticky flexible tabs at the edges of the bottom of the screen. You can pull those tabs and it will unstick the screen but it will not go back together as well. Also take great care. The panels can have alot of deformation to the backlight because they are thin and glued in place. Also the bezel has very thin double sided sticky tape along the edge of the entire screen which will not go back on right. The bezel and the screen are physically attached to each other by tape and won't go back on exactly right but it's not super noticeable.
