I reset the operating system, the computer was running smoothly. But when I launch a game, like CSGO, for example, it feels very off. According to the game I am getting a consistent 120 FPS when I play. But it just feels wrong. I played on my other computer and was really smooth. What is the matter with this computer? Why cannot it run csgo normally? It is brand new computer.

Are you sure your internet isn't lagging?

Have you tested other games and/or benchmarks such as 3Dmark to see if the same symptoms appear?

Yes. When I experience lag, it is just jumpy, but this feels entirely different. It feels like the computer is too slow to process the game.

Yes. I was playing BlackMesa. In the beginning the game ran fine. After like an hour or two. The game started to slow-down, and experience fps-drops. When I re-launched a game on a different day, Steam told me to disable Xbox DVR, which I did, and again, the game ran fine. But after an hour, or two, the game again started to slow-down.

In my other forum post, somebody suggested that my cores do not have evenly distributed heat. When I ran a thermometer program my cores were all about 40 C, up to 1 C of one another. Is it possible, that when I game for an hour, my cores heat up, and the temperature distribution is not evenly divided between the cores? If that is a possibilitly, how do I know?

I doubt that's the issue, sounds a bit far fetched to me. Sounds more like a software related issue. Do you have v sync running? Are you on latest Nvidia drivers? Have you recently updated the drivers? Are you running ge force experience in the background and capturing the video unknowingly? Have you tried closing down programs and services running in the background? Do you have an antivirus?

That sounds like thermal throttling to me. What are your maximum temperatures after playing for a few hours?

What you are saying is not consistent with the evidence. If it was a software related issue then the slow-performance of the computer should be uniform, at all times, not just after an hour.

Here is the temperatures after running a pretty simple game. I did not really experience any fps drops as this game is very old, and very easy to run. I can try this again with a more advanced game.

Those look alright, but it would be interesting to see the number when the computer is more stressed (especially after a longer game session).
