I had to reset my Windows 10, because this operating system is utter garbage and such a colossal waste of time. I fixed my FPS problems. But non-surprisingly, there are more issues.

Why is this strange circle object doing in the middle of my screen? I did not ask for it. What is it. And how do I get rid of this? It appears when I launch a video game.

While your picture isn't loading, I suspect that you've enabled the Alienware sound location setting in your Alienware Control Center, or whatever the main application is called, as other people have reported similar issues.

Thank you, very much, Mr(s). Green Fairy, your information is most appreciated. I will try disabling it again tomorrow.

Would you have any idea why it would turn on despite resetting my operating system? I installed 3 games. The first game, had this sound-circle running in the middle of the screen. I tried it with two other games. And it was fine, this circle was not coming up.

Then I went into task manager, killed every process I could find, launched the game, and it was gone. That made me realize that it is some background application, and I have to pinpoint what it is by killing every process, one step at a time, but with your insight it will save me a great deal of time.

It only works with games that have full surround sound support if I remember correctly?
To disable it look for the Audio Recon software within the Alienware Sound Center and there should be an option to enable/disable it there (I suspect that when your computer loaded the sound drivers it automatically enabled the setting).

It's in the system audio settings. It's a radar to visually see the directions audio occurs in game. You can disable it there. Just click on the arrow to view the items hidden in the system tray to the right on the Taskbar and you will find it.

Asus has something similar it's called sonic radar. It's a cool feature and can be helpful in FPS style games, but not so useful in the games you mentioned.

EDIT: Just in case someone else stumbles on this post and can't figure out how to disable it. Click on the Alienware Sound Center icon in the system tray and disable it under the Audio Recon tab. Also, the default macro to turn it off without having to do all that is "Left CTRL + Left SHIFT + S" all together like you would with "CTRL +ALT +DEL".

Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
