Hi, Has anyone had a problem installing and reinstalling your network driver? I have noticed that when I uninstall my killer network driver from programs and features and also in the device manager and then install the killer suite again what will happen is that I can connect to the network but no internet connection. I have also tried uninstall the network driver and installing the killer driver standard without the bloatware from the device manager and still I can connect to my wifi network and still no internet connection. I was stuck without a internet connection for awhile. Also I have tried using the windows troubleshooting program to fix the problem and it stated it is a network driver issue and cannot fix the problem. Also I have tried using the driver which windows automatically install and I cannot connect to my network. what a bummer. My only way to get my internet connection back is to load my backup image using macrium reflect. Has anyone encountered this problem? Please help solve this issue. Thanks alot.

    Laptop:
    Alienware 17 r2 with 970m
Clean Install Windows 10 using @Phoenix guide.
    Killer N1525 Wireless-AC
Working driver on latest Killer network suite Version 1.1.59.1701.(which has a bit of an issue when i found out about LatencyMon which shows that it has dropouts on my connection that I have noticed when playing Dota 2 spiking of pings.)

Did you by any chance run a registry cleaner lately? I recently ran CCleaner's Registry Cleaning and cleaned some junk, I don't know but I don't feel good about it now. I think the invalid firewall rules that it cleaned out have something to do with our connectivity problem.

I am gonna format now since I switched to the Intel AC 8260 WLAN card (Reason: OCD)

Never used CCleaner or touch anything from registry.

I use CCleaner on a daily basis (almost!) and don't have any issues with my Killer 1535. A while back there were some pretty similar sounding issues that I believe was down to having the entire suite installed (and some of the settings it imposed), ever since then I have installed the driver only with no issue so you could try that.

Thanks for the reply.. I've been trying to do that.. my problem is that when I install and reinstall the same current driver, new and old driver. I am able to connect to the wifi/access point but no internet connection.. I have tried installing it from the device manager using the driver only and without the killer bloatware and still the same.. able to connect to the wifi and no internet connection.. I have also tried installing the driver from dell website using my service tag which is the qualcomm driver and it is the same.. no internet connection.. I have also tried flushing dns and still no internet connection.. my only way out of the problem is to load my backup image using macrium reflect.. does windows 10 got something to do with this? if you have any idea please help.. thanks..

I doubt that Windows 10 has a specific problem with this, maybe something to do with your backup though. Is your backup based on the stock Dell install or did you do a proper clean install with a vanilla W10 iso?

I only ask as when I first got my machine I had some funky connectivity issues pretty similar to this but as I do with all of my machines, I ditched the stock install and used the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft to create a Windows 10 iso/usb stick and I've never had a problem since.

Sorry if I forgot to mention I did a clean install following @Phoenix guide.
    Edit:
The only mistake I made was installing the killer suite instead of the driver only. T_T

That could be the issue right there. I know it's long but I would suggest doing another clean install and installing just the Killer driver and see if that sorts your issue and if so, then make your backup.

That actually is my plan right now.. I'll do it later i guess or after the 2nd of August when MS will rollout the new update.. but its just weird. not able to change driver.. what if there is a new update for my network card, would it mean I won't be able to make it work unless ill do another clean install? is this how messed up windows 10 is? T_T

If it's what I think it is, it's not the driver per se. When you install the suite it messes with a lot of the registry so their "Killer Features" work but as you can tell, it doesn't always go to plan. Like I said, I don't think this is necessarily an issue with W10, more the Killer Suite with some funky settings.

As for waiting for the Redstone update, that's over a week away at best and with the colossal amount of machines to update, I wouldn't count on getting it immediately so I would look to sort the issue now.

Hi, one quick question @Phoenix and @sirleeofroy. If I install the killer network driver the one without the bloatware through device manager will it show in the driver tab that the driver provider will be by rivet and not by qualcomm? thanks.

@sirleeofroy and @Phoenix I was able to update my network driver using the killer network driver standard the one without the bloatware. In the device manager and the driver provider it is stated that its from qualcomm and not from killer the driver date is march 2016. I have noticed when I play dota 2 there is no more spike lags and no more network issues in LatencyMon. Thanks for your help. ^^

The currently available WIN10 driver versions are
    • Version No 9.0.0.37 by Rivet Networks for Killer Ethernet 2400 from 26.01.2016
    • Version No 12.0.0.230 by Qualcomm Atheros Comm. for Killer WLAN 1535 from 21.03.2016
    • Version No 10.0.0.191 by Qualcomm Atheros Comm for Killer Bluetooth 1535 from 22.11.2015
By the way I didn't have any problems running the Killer Suite since release.

    Edit: Mixed up dates corrected.
