Is there any possibility to set the inactivity timer less than 1 minute?

I am trying to emulate proper keyboard backlighting. On my Qosmio 18", I could set it in bios to 10-15-20 secs and keyboard would light up when stroked regardless of (in)activity in windows.

If you are doing browsing or watching movies, it is done with mouse mostly. The keyboard does not need to light up whenever you touch the mouse, and it definitely does not need to light up for 1 minute!

At present, I created a theme and set up lights only to keyboard. However, this presents another problem. Activity lights cannot be set to dark and neither the spotlight power button right in the middle of the screen (without going to dark mode where you lose all lighting, including the keyboard backlights)!

Anyone has or thought any workarounds?

I just FN+F12 to turn it off when I'm watching a movie or something. You can also set up one of the custom keys for it.
If you insist on it happening automatically, try right clicking Alien FX (in taskbar tray) -> Inactivity Timer -> Custom -> and enter a decimal value for minutes.

Why do I have to think about this at all to start with? It is a feature that is set-it-and-forget-it. And it is a very useful feature. I mentioned how this is done properly in *proper* laptops like Qosmio or Apples.

Besides, when it is dark, it is not possible to find a single key without extra work, and you want me to find 2 to turn it on?

Inactivity timer cant be set less than 1 min. Hence my first sentence.

Yeah, now that you mention it, my XPS 15 also turned off the lights after a short while.
I don't think the Alien FX is configurable that way. It is not linked to the theme and there's no mention of the timer variable in the theme files.
