    Hi all,

So I got my AW15 today. Turned it on and somethings are very different. I was hoping you could answer some of my questions.

    System it's self:
No major defects, however there are some dust particles in the black rubber finish that you can feel under your palm.

    Windows:
So maybe its me but I had an Alienware 15 R2 and I didn't have to use scaling on a 1920x1080 display, However I feel I have to on this system. Windows only does scaling now? and not scaling and text. I didn't used to need scaling and my eye sight is fine. Just means youtube videos on cinema mode now are not quite as large as the window I am using. (I know I can use full screen) It is one of the same problems I had with my rMBP. Also means I feel like I have less screen to use. I went for the 1920 simply because it was IPS with g-sync, the 4k Panel did not have G-sync
125% Scaling seems to work just fine for now though.

Would a 17" be better do you think? Could use the display at 100% instead of scaled? I have owned the Alienware 18 R1, 15 R2, 13 R2. Always 1080p IPS displays. Minor issues I know but still things that I consider.

    I didn't got for a 13" simply so I have a bigger display so I went 15" Also the 17" with 1080 was £1000 more!!!!
However I am wondering if now I would of preferred the 17" system the 15" doesn't seem that much bigger than my rMBP 13" maybe its just first day blues?

Whats everyone's Opinions? Just help me restore my faith in my purchase lol

1000 pounds is a lot of money - I'd enjoy the 15.6" and not worry if I were you :)

Maybe video card driver issue? Use DDu to wipe out nvidia drivers and latest newest ones. Moreover, in creators update there is scaling issue sometimes.
