I don't really have the space for a desktop and to tell you the truth, I prefer having a laptop.. I just was never a fan of desktops for some reason. Although I'm going to keep my 13 in the same spot on my table, I prefer a laptop.
I'm a gamer and I wanted to finally be able to run my games on high/ultra at 1080p.
I'm going to buy a bunch of games when I get it.. Far Cry 4, CoD:AW, Battlefield Hardline and a few others.
What should I expect performance wise with my new laptop? I am SO excited to get it.

You'll probably be able to run them with medium/high settings at 1080p, probably not ultra if you want 60 FPS.

A good little machine for the money , but Purolator will take forever delivering it.

Haha, I saw your post in the other thread. I'm in the US though, so I think FedEx will be delivering it. That sucks about Purolator.

Yeah sorry about the hijack but a little pissed ahaha, but i bought a 13 a little while ago and its been a good little computer fits in my Ogio backpack slot has great performance especially with upgraded ssd and memory, just cannot ultra the more gpu intense games like its big brother i have waiting in Purolator's warehouse i cannot go pick up in town here before the long weekend, but overall i cannot complain about the 13 at all.

Great. Basically I want to run all the newest games on High settings.. some on Ultra Settings and 1080p with a decent framerate for a 1-2 years, and then grab an amplifier and a GTX 980 or something.
I literally have been checking UPS, FedEx, and USPS all day today via reference number with my order number hoping it's been shipped out early. hahaha. Cannot wait. -
Sign up for Fedex Delivery Manager / UPS my choice / My USPS. It's free and the instant a company creates a shipping label for a product that will be shipped to your address (even if it hasn't shipped yet or it won't ship for a few days) you will get an immediate email.bnosam likes this.

This may interest you:
The i5-5200U and i7-5500U are practically identical, aside from cache and clock speed. Negligible difference with the 960M. You may see a slight improvement with the Amplifier. -

That's DEFINITELY something I want to see! Thanks buddy.

My 13 with 860m ran almost all recent games at high/ultra settings no problem.
You should have no problem. -

With some tweaking on the hardest hitting detail settings you should have an enjoyable experience
