as some of you know I had to send my laptop back because the 120hz panel sucks unless your colorblind . So just built a new laptop from the webpage and a week ago when I built it it literally said 1080 max-q. Now this week it just says Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU.
Typing error? Why would they change it? Anyone know what’s going on?

Check the "Product Detail" tab on the right of 'Tech specs and Customization" tab. There it should mention 1080 max-q at the end of paragraph.

I had a online chat with their customer support 2-3 days ago. Asked them why they don't mention the correct name 1080 Max-q instead of "NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X" for 15 R4, as it's misleading and wrong. They just pointed me to the product detail tab where the correct name is mentioned. They should fix it everywhere, but I can't bother to argue with them.

    No, the 15 is 1080 Max-Q only.
