I built a computer years ago where I ran 2 hard drives in RAID mode...but these were both regular 7200 RPM drives. Yes it was faster. Fast forward to today.

I do normal computing on my new ANW17 R2. I do have alot of music, but am not that worried about being able to copy a CD in 10 seconds. I mainly bought this system to game. I upgraded the RAM, put in a main harddrive that has a 120gb SSD and a 1tb 5400 RPM drive. Of course the system is booted off the 120gb.

Further, I put a 512 GB SSD into one of the m.2 slots. ALL of my games are on that hard drive...music on the 5400. I see that people are complaining about not having RAID for this computer. For someone like me, with the above information, is there a reason I would want a RAID set up?

You would not want to do a RAID.
    1. All of your drives have different amounts of storage. It isn't a good idea to RAID with two different sized HDDs/SSDs.
    2. The SSDs (never RAID a HDD and SSD together) are of different speeds, so the speed will only go faster than the slower SSD. The faster SSD might be impacted.

LOL, awesome info. I was just asking if I wanted to buy another identical SSD to the m.2 one, is it really worth having RAID for mainly just gaming?

I don't see the benefit for having a RAID 0 for gaming only.
