I've just bought the game in advanced but I couldn't find any Ground Zeroes benchmarks with the mobile 980 and 970 to give me an idea.

There are many 980m and 970m gameplay videos on youtube:

For my own experience, the game is very well optimized, it run very well on my old laptop(770m), 30~ish with some of the setting maxed. I haven't try it on my 980m alienware 17 r2 yet, but I guess if the MGS V is as well optimized as Gound zeroes, it can run constant 60fps with some dips when there's a lot of action happening.

I just beat the game on my Alienware 15. The 980m has no problems at all powering this game with everything maxed out. I got an average ~60fps with everything maxed out at 1440p resolution on external monitor.

Lowering the resolution to 1080p obviously results to even better FPS and does not visually change anything.
