    Hi All,

I have a new Alienware 13 R3, and I have installed a 2TB Samsung m,2 SSD. I was able to format and partition the drive, and it shows fine in device manager (drive D :), and it works great. I am getting 3,000 MB/s read and about 2,000 MB/s write.

I then downloaded and installed the Samsung Magician software, but it does NOT seem to recognize the drive. In the bios, I saw a drive option for ACHI or RAID ON, and it was default I set to RAID ON, though I had only one disk. But as stated, the second drive does work fine.

Is there something special I was supposed to do in the process? Do I need to uninstall the Intel RAID utility?

You need to switch to AHCI mode in your BIOS settings and install the Samsung nvme driver. Here is a guide on how to do the AHCI change: http://triplescomputers.com/blog/un...ch-windows-10-from-raidide-to-ahci-operation/

After that you need to install the Samsung nvme driver, which is available on Samsung's website. I recently installed a couple of 960 Pro's in my AW15, my drives weren't recognized by Magician until after the mode switch and nvme driver was installed.

Thanks for that link. It was super helpful! I couldn't use the command line to get into safemode, but I did it from the menu and in that order and it worked great.
