    Hello.
    I am using Alienware 17 r4 1070.
The temperature of this product is over 80 degrees in the summer.

And there is a lot of noise when playing the game.(ex Guild Wars 2, The Division...)

I heard that this product's heatsink has improved.

Where can I buy these improved parts?

    https://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=24652

    Is this part number correct?
    The last serial is A00.

    Ask in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...gtx1080-in-game-random-stutter-freeze.804499/

Alienware have used more than one revision heatsink.

How far over 80? Have you ever repasted , or is it on stock paste?

If your over 80 but under 90 on stock paste I wouldn't find that all that terrible. Could it be better? Of course it could, but just tossing a new heatsink in may make the problem worse if it isn't a good or properly balanced heatsink. I would try a repaste before ordering a new heatsink if you haven't already.

I'm sorry. My explanation was not enough.
Because my alienware 17 r4 reaches temperatures over 80 degrees during game play in the summer
cpu Noise is great. (ex Guild Wars2)

The new 1080 large heatsink is said to lower the temperature further and reduce noise.

    All good.
You find probably more on the web https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Dell-A...KV-Laptop-CPU-Fan-With-Heatsink-/132088761076
Strange none can tell you what HS revisjon you should buy. But I mean @alexnvidia said it doesn't matter. Maybe he can answer you here as he is tagged now.

Oh I see, you have the 1070 heatsink, I didn't read that part. I assumed you had the 1080 heatsink and were just wanting another one. A few people did try adding the 1080 heatsink to the 1070 system but I can't remember if it made that much difference in the long run. Alienware was actually talking about doing this months back but never did although I don't know why they never followed through with it.

The one you linked looks right, it has the larger heatsink pipes but I don't know the exact model number. You could try messaging @iunlock and see if he knows. Not sure if he is really around here much anymore though. You could try the Alienware discord channel as well.

unfortunately, every revision is the same. even with the latest part number, cpu core temperature differential problem is not fixed and i suspect it never will.

Damn I could not find a single review not praising low temps on full load of this laptop...
Now I regret my order :(

    Three issues:
    1) imperfect machining, warped heatsink, + tripod design = Papusan face
    2) weak static pressure + balance issues + CPU heatsink covering chokes, causing even weaker pressure on the cores closest to the VRM's
    3) bad/improper thermal pad thickness (which is a direct cause/effect and exasperated from #2 and #1).

MSI has similar design issues that their LGA barebones does not have (VRMS/chokes reducing pressure on one side of the core), but the square screw pressure mechanism makes this easier to tackle, provided you actually know what the problem is (if HS is not warped, reduce pad thickness and experiment; VRM's need better contact than chokes (so try reducing pad thickness on chokes).

I have tested 4 aw15r3s and 17r4s total from past 8 months and the highest core difference i have seen after a repaste is 4c. Its not a tripod design if you consider the pressure on the gpu side as well. Its not a separated heatsink.

not the usual core 0 and 2 or 1 and 3 always. My hottest core is core 1. But only 3c higher than the others.for example core 0= 61c core 1=62c and core 2 & 3=60c.

if 60c = one temperature value, 61 the second than 62 is the third. A variation of 3 degrees. Get it?kindergarten level right here.

Well you said 3C higher not 3C difference...you still think you are smart :)
Damn we should hire @rinneh to teach us math, maybe then we could all have 63C stress test max temp out of the box, what a bad joke...

When counting a difference in values the base value indexes at "0" not "1", this is a basic math principal! Please stick to the original topic and stop the flaming!
