Out of curiosity, how old is your current Alienware laptop?

Personally I'm still rocking the Alienware 15 R1 @ 970m.... (6 years). Looking to upgrade (hopefully this year) and REALLY hoping that Dell pushes out an area 51 r3 with a delicious 200watt+ pull GPU...

    I can't answer the poll, because it's incomplete - it's 1-2 years for me.

    Alienware Area-51m R1 (2019) ~ 2 years
    Alienware 13 R3 (2017) ~ 4 years
    Alienware 14 (2013) ~ 8 years
    Alienware M18xR2 (2012) ~ 9 years
    Alienware M14xR2 (2012) ~ 9 years
    Alienware M17xR3 (2011) ~ 10 years

All have XM CPUs except 13 R3/14. All have upgraded GPU except Area-51m, 13 R3, 14, and M14xR2. All have maxed RAM.

    Still running strong.

could only cast the one vote, my alienware 17 r4 is about 4 years old now and still fine. My M18X R1 is 10 years old and still going strong (upgraded from 2x 580m sli to single 780m just recently)

Both are very old and still work but obviously not getting used much except for nostalgia.

    M9750 - Almost 14 years.
    M17 - 11.5 years old.

My 17 R2 almost made it to 6 years before it completely died on me. I currently have an m17 R4 but I am fighting with Dell over it because it arrived with issues and they are screwing me around.

My AW17R3 is 5 years old and doing great. I also have a Dell XPS L501X that is 11 years old and still running good. I have only upgraded the wifi card and ssd drive in the XPS.

Will see if the Alienware X-series is tempting enough to upgrade.
