I got an Outlet Alienware 17 R4(specs are down below in signature, only thing that I have changed is the 1TB HDD to a 500GB Samsung Evo 850 SSD)
The laptop came with the OS on the 1TB HDD, why it wasn't on the SSD is beyond me... I worked on migrating the OS from the HDD to the OEM m.2 SSD, but that didn't work for me at all. So I went out to bestbuy and found a 500GB 2.5 Toshiba 850 Evo SSD, and used Acronis True Image to clone the HDD to the SSD. I plugged the SSD in, everything booted up fine, kind of slow, like the HDD, but figured it was just the first time boot on a new disk.
That was 4 days ago! haha It's still slow. There are tons of problems with the OS saving settings for my Logitech Mouse, it usually says the USB device isn't recognized, so I have to set it up again as a new device. Along with extremely slow saves from Adobe Illustrator for super small files, as well as when I save it as a PDF.
Should I do a clean install of windows? Since I haven't really downloaded anything too crazy yet, it isn't a huge deal, but I just don't know how to go about installing it with the SATA SSD plugged in. I want the OS on the NVMe m.2 SSD.
Anyone, please help.
And to the mods, I'm, sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

It says in the BIOS that it's using AHCI. Is there some special way to do it other than in BIOS? -

Reinstall clean Os. Only put in the ssd you want install your OS on. Otherwise you can risk the boot files will be installed on an other disk. Probably what you already have now.
