    hello guys how are you?

i just got my new alienware 15 R3 and already have some problems. I'll try to be as clear as i can. Let's go.

im having some drops (i guess this is it) when i try to do multiple tasks, such as play a music in youtube and open other sites at the same time.

When im using headphones or even wihout, im getting some noises/clatter/loudness/freezing and drops, that is making on the sound. a bug...like when the tv is with problem on the signal because it is rainning.

And im for that, every video/music i try to watch, i have a freezing/noise on the video and music. Like an interference.

I did a full hardware test (pressing F12 when restarting note) and it says it is all 100% working.

While researching on the web, i found a topic in dell community support (Brazil version) about a user that has a Inspiron Gaming 7559 that also has problem in the sound. The discussions of the users conclusion was that DELL SUPPORT ASSIST and DELL SUPPORT ASSIST AGENT were the problem, and some users said that after unistalling it, the problems stopped.

Also found a topic at notebook review (February 2015, by papusan - http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...ist-agent-version-and-dell-data-vault.771147/ ) where a o lot of users said that those programs were bringing a lot of problems for their notebooks.

I would like to know how can i fix the processing problem of my notebook, that is affecting the sound, freezing it (it is like a frame freezing, something like that, when overheating - but my note isnt ho), because the notebook is brand new and for the config (intel 6820k, gtx 1070 and 16gbram) it is not to have this kind of proble.

    Thanks guys

Assuming you are using Windows 10, first, check to see that Windows hasn't "upgraded" your sound drivers to either the Windows generic drivers, or worse, drivers for a different device. Second, in your sound properties, there are some advanced properties. Try turning the advanced stuff off. What you are experiencing, sounds very much like what my son experienced on his laptop (a Thinkpad), and that is what we did to fix it. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but I don't have the laptop in front of me. I can search out those options and be more specific later today. Good luck.

    Mroe detailed instructions...

Again, Assuming Windows 10, right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the desktop and select "playback". In the Sound dialog, select you speakers and then click on "Properties". Select the "advanced" tab. If the "enable audio enhancements" box is checked, UNcheck it and click "Apply". If it is not checked, leave it alone, that's not your problem. Windows 10 reverted the setting three times on my son's laptop, but it hasn't done it recently. I should also note that "enable audio enhancements" was unchecked on my AW17 when I got it.

i tried to do that but the problem persist. It appears the stutters are from a bad processing perhaps...? i really dont know. I think i'll try to contact Dell and, if the problem persists, exchange to a new one

OK, sorry it didn't work for you. If Dell has a solution, let us know.

Is the video stuttering, sound or both? Have you tried uninstalling the Killer Networking Suite and install the driver only package?
