I was typing and coding like any other day, when I was harshly screeched out by the sound of my nails gnarling against the keyboard keys when typing. I know that I need to cut my nails once in a while, but the thought of it haunts me.

To heavy users of Alienware laptops, have you seen any signs of wear and tear on the keyboard keys, such as portions of the white etched letters missing on the keys, or your WASD key letters are completely gone? Have you seen signs of dents or grease on the edges of your laptops? Have you even seen sweat accumulating on the laptop wrist cover (two empty spots next to the touchpad)?

    I don't know, I'm just asking.

I'm a little OCD about these types of things so I use an external keyboard most of the time, and when I do type on the keyboard after every use I wipe it down with a damp cloth so oil does not accumulate.

The AW15 has the same rubber wrist rest coating. Likely over time the wrist rest with change color with wear patches, as my M17x R3 certainly has worn and faded after a couple of years .

There are thin rubber keyboard covers that I've used on M11x. Didn't do much for wrist area but keys get zero wear that way.

Interesting. I never thought about using protection covers. I was just asking to see if there are any wears/tears without using protection covers or anything that protects the laptop from wear/tear.
