undervolted it with a Alienware 15 or 17? Just curious what results you have. Also if I’m going to use intel extreme tuning utility to undervolt what settings do I set the cpu to in the bios? Do I turn off overclocking? Are there some things you turn on some your turn off? Or do you just leave your bios as is and set the undervolt using the software until you get a stable result?

Most undervolting videos show how easy it is to do but they never say what settings in the bios they have. If anyone can elaborate on what they did or the settings they use it will be greatly appreciated.

I just use 4.0ghz on XTU with -175mv

    Also have 4.6ghz -145mv
    Bios performance (fans)
    4.0ghz all cores.

In XTU bios has no affects.

    Bios:
    Performance (fans)
Custom clock speed 4.0ghz all cores normal voltage.

I have repasted tho these are my results. [IMG]

This is mine, with a static voltage of 1.2998 with a -160 Mv undervolt, done on balanced fan mode. rsz_screenshot_30.png Cinebench score is without priority benchmark was done without the priority setting (in taskmgr) so pretty mediocre, but my temps are fine.

I would turn off OC in OC controls/command centre, and turn on OC in bios. i strictly use Throttlestop (XTU Buggy as hell) and then set a static voltage. from there i start to undervolt untill i've find a stable Mv for a certain Mhz workload.
