I do a lot of coding and want a Retina display. I often find windows screens too dull so am worrried about the brightness on this
Btw I plan to game at 1080 btw so not worried about graphics power
Does anyone have any experiences with this screen?

I've got the 4k UHD display and really like it.
Mine has got the Sharp LQ156D1 according to HWInfo ( http://laptopmedia.com/screen/sharp-7phpt-lq156d1/)
Notebookcheck did test this screen in a XPS 15 if you're interested: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-...HD-InfinityEdge-Notebook-Review.156462.0.html
However be aware that 4k resolution in such little space is really overkill! (you'll gonna have to scale everything and some apps do a really crappy job)
I've bought the screen mainly because of its color accuracy and really like what I got.
The brightness (~345 cd/m² according to those links) is fine for me due to its matte finish - it's perfectly usable in indirect sunlight if there is some kind of shade, and indoors has not been any problem for me -
Thanks thats great to hear. I'm really looking forward to getting it now

Do the 17R4 and 15R3 UHD screens still have lightbleed problems?
-
Argh mine arrived. It has a SHP1450 model. Its a little dim and has a yellowish tinge. Its really no where near as good as my AW17R3 UHD 4K display.
Very disappointed -
You can solve the tint by bringing down the green in the ICC color profile, but beware that will make the screen not as bright -
I went through three of them from Dell to get one with acceptable bleed. There is a slight wave at the bottom but barely noticeable.
This said, the final one was very neutral in colour (white, not yellow) and I really like it. Wouldn't go any other way. -
Mine is next level yellow. I had to pull the Green down about 20% for it to look good
Has anyone tried the AW15 r3 UHD 4K display?
