How many have people ordered? Is the thing going to launch in august as my order says? Is the launch going to be like the UP3017q (Vaporware)?

It was like a 60 day lead time after your order was placed.

I ordered on July 3 for the 965m OLED model. Website says it is expected to deliver on the 24th of August. I'm hopeful it will ship sooner, but I am in no rush for needing it.

I wonder if it would be possible to upgrade your current screen to OLED?

They originally announced a red edition but it has not been mentioned since.

The red version would only be available if the demand was there, if I recall correctly. Something about tweeting a phrase (OLEDInRed)?

I really liked the color it generates, I played some 4k videos and they look stunning on it.

Even though i bought the laptop for the OLED, i am not satisfied with the cpu performance . whenever i open chrome/firefox the cpu hits 100%. I would opt for a quad core cpu rather than OLED. It's just my opinion.

I would look into doing a clean install of windows 10. My less powerful i5 6300u in my Surface Book has no problem opening Chrome or Firefox with multiple tabs @ about 30% CPU.

Yeah that result is definately suspicious. I've had a retina macbook pro 13" since early 2013 and even with it's garbage intel 4000 graphics and dual core I can have many open tabs

One on the right looks terrible compared to the OLED lol. The only way lcd can compare to OLED is via FALD, which means you gotta make a fat display like the new Vizio displays. That's ain't gonna happen on a gaming laptop, and hell, doesn't even happen on monitors...

Only the 13inch model. There are no 15inch Oled panels available yet.

Has anyone verified what the refresh rate is on the OLED panel? (not the response time)
