I have been in communication with Martin from HWiNFO and he was kind enough to add full fan control features for the 13r3. We now have not just 3 rpm settings to choose from but full control of the fans rpms thanks to Martin and the HWiNFO team.

I will be making a donation to HWiNFO today thru there website, I think it would be very kind for other 13r3 users on the forum to do the same as they moved extremely quickly to help get the fans with full control after it was brought to there attention.

OK I downloaded it but when I click on the fan nothing happens??
-
Did you have ec support selected or deselected?
-
EC Support is checked and if I click the "X" on the sensors page the program crashes every time.
-
You are on a 13r3? What intel processor?
-
13r3 I7 6700hq -
Same for me and im on the 6300HQ i5 Fan button does nothing.
-
You have to uncheck the EC Support and it will work.
-
That is trange. Im on a 7700hq processor if that makes a difference. Did uou fully uninstall the previous version prior to installing the beta version? The program ran perfect on my end without having to adjust any setting on hwinfo or selecting or deselecting anything.
-
When you uncheck ec support are you still getting full rpm control or just the 3 fan speeds? I have ec support checked and i have full fan control available.

Yes this one should be for the 13r3, Martin mentioned he was going to release it today. Mahmoud the 15r3 model already had full fan control but the 13r3 didnt until now.

Hmm both versions don't enable full fan control for me
I uninstalled my old copy and opened the new beta which doesnt need to install and yeah clicking the fan icon does nothing :/
I have EC support ticked -
In the begging when it opens up are you choosing to monitor or not monitor the COMPAL EC: Alienware 13 R3 sensors? Do you select continue or do not monitor this sensor?

-
what do you do to enable this?Last edited: Feb 16, 2017 -
disabling it enables 0, 2400 and 5700rpm, but with it enabled we should have full manual control -
Moss are u using the new beta file on hwinfos website or are you using the one i posted beforehand? What are your 13r3 specs?
-
which so far gives me manual control of my fans in 100rpm increments but the CPU slider controls both fans and the GPU slider does nothing lol -

Take very good care. -
Was anybody able to get full control on his 13 R3 fans? If yes how did you do? Is EC to be checked or unchecked?
-

-
the fans rpm is amped up to 7000 max. This is same as default max AW fan speeds.
-
I only have like 0, 2400, 5700, or something like those. But only those 3.
-
Use slider to determine max speed. On 15 r2 its 7000. I have set it to 6500 max. Please note this, before restart or shutdown please click System Auto button to set the fans to AW default, otherwise fans won't spin at all until you open HWinfo

HWiNFO beta now has 13r3 full fan control
