    HELP! My warranty didn't transfer over!

    This is a very odd situation. The Alienware 17 R2 which replaced the Alienware 17 R1 (which replaced the M17x R4) is showing warranty information for the original M17x R4 before its warranty was extended. On the Alienware 17 R1 service tag, it doesn't show anything for warranty at all, just blank fields. I don't even remember the M17x R4 service tag anymore. For my Alienware 17 R2, it shows warranty start date of may 2012 with expiration in may 2013....with a ship date of july 28, 2015....... something very wrong here.

    This may sound kinda funny, but have you tried looking into your bios and enable warranty/service code?

    I put my service tag into the Dell website, that is where it is showing all this information.
