I just got an e-mail from tech support that they will send a tech to "take care of the thermal controllers". Seems awfully vague on that description. I'm wondering if anybody else has had a tech show up to "fix" the heat problems in the AW 15 R3.

I'm going to schedule it AFTER I have all the parts I was going to install myself, then have them do it for me. Seems fair, no? BTW, I opted for Kyronaut so I wouldn't have to worry about conductivity, and I do worry that way.

And, the answer is yes. Dell does not send anything to the techs though. Have your own paste and thermal pads if you want it done with the good stuff. I did, thank goodness. Now my max temp under load is 81!

I ran a longer test today, and it's still about a 20 degree differential between cores, but it only gets up to 90 C. Before I quit the test when it hit 93. No idea how far it would have gone. Still I contacted Dell with the results.
