hey there was wondering if the pin connector on the mother board for the AW 15 R2 1080p connector was the same as the UHD non touch for direct replacement of the whole assembly?

    thanks

    I had a similar question.

I have 1080p 60hz Gsync panel in my laptop. Can I swap it for a 4k panel?

Yes, in fact you won't need a new screen cable, only a new screen.
    Check this supplier https://www.ebay.com/usr/ugooole?ul_noapp=true

For the 15R2 you need a different screencable, screenlid assembly etc for the 4K setup as described multiple times on this forum ;)

    Neither could I,

I was just concerned about the fact I have a gysnc version with only a 1080p display. It says I need a 40pin cable I wasn't sure if I had the right system to take a display upgrade.

To be honest losing G-sync doesn't bother me at all. I just wondered if it was possible. Also if it would be my Intel graphics would work again?

yes, I believe the screen description does not say if supports gsync, so it won't be a problem. I believe Intel graphics should work again if gsync is not working.
