Fans blowing out loud at almost every reboot on my AW17R2

I recently aquired an Alienware 17R2, it works fine, I have none of the CPU throttling issues that others have witnessed, however at almost every reboot (about 2 to 5 minutes after getting into windows) the computer (quite litterally the whole computer) freezes and both fans start blowing out loud (the left fan, then the right fan) and only then the system gets unfrozen.

I assume this is by design, do any of you experience such an issue ? It is rather annoying, especially as it can create video driver crashes when doing an intensive task (as the gpu driver stops responding while the fans blow out).

This happens whether or not I use the GA, I just wanted to make sure this is normal (although annoying) behaviour and it's not my system that's somehow faulty in that regard.

P.S. The laptop is currently running on the A05 bios.

OK, to answer my own question, I had Dell Support Assist installed on my computer, which according to various internet forums is what causes this behaviour, I have uninstalled it and will check how it behaves next.

    I'm having this issue too!
    I'm running Windows 10, A05 bios and 180w psu with gtx980m.
    It's kinda annoying..

Ok, uninstalling Dell Support Assist fixed the problem.

Another issue I have though is that the Intel Iris Pro drivers crash when I reboot without the GA (when the 980M gets detected again for the first time), then it runs fine after I reboot but that's also pretty annoying.
